Message From the Chairman - Wakulla County Republican Club to hold first Meeting

Dear Wakulla County Republicans:

Due to the overwhelming response and attendance at the monthly Wakulla County Republican Executive Committee (WCREC) meetings, the WCREC is pleased to announce the date of the first county Republican Club meeting. This inaugural club meeting will be a great opportunity to network with local Republicans, share your thoughts on local, state and national political issues and express your ideas on how Wakulla Republicans can be best prepared for 2010!

 The idea of the club grew from the fact that many Wakulla Citizens attended the monthly Republican Executive Committee meetings and wanted more in terms of information, involvement and fellowship. We have had many new faces show up each month wanting to get involved and speak on issues or share ideas for party growth. The Wakulla County Republican Executive Committee drives the local party planning and will oversee club activity. The club will focus on speakers, topic discussions and Republican fellowship. The club will hold meetings/events on local and national issues and bring in current Republican candidates seeking local and statewide offices. Your involvement in the club will be a great avenue for you to express your ideas and concerns in regards to County, State and National political issues. Grassroots at it's best!! The WCREC members will be bringing their favorite  “finger food” for all to enjoy, you can bring some too, but it is not a requirement!
Jon Kilpatrick - Precinct Committeeman is heading this up for us and will have a full report during the clubs first meeting on the status of the club and its plans for future events.

I would like to take this time to thank Jon for his leadership in pulling this together for us and to also thank all the dedicated Wakulla Republicans who have suggested the club as a much needed addition in helping the growth of the party locally.

The August  WCREC meeting will be held directly following the club meeting. Plans are also in the works for other events in the coming months such as a Republican “get ready for 2010” mixer and an event at Hudson Park in November celebrating our veterans. Look for updates from Jon in the coming weeks regarding our  inaugural club meeting and other updates on future club meeting plans and speakers!
